Why...

Why is video good for my business?

If businesses want to compete in 2011/ 2012 they will have to do so on-line.  And to do so effectively, they will have to settle their prospective customers and clients increasingly huge appetites for on-line video.  Statistics show that marketing budgets being spent on print and television advertising are in gradual decline.

Corporate video production and on-line video marketing are on the rise.  According to research complied by Forrester Research in January 2009, you are 53 X more likely to appear on page 1 of Google's search results if you have video on your website.  More and more research shows that video dramatically improves your marketing efforts: - Video in email marketing increases click-through rates by 89%. (Implix 2010 Email Marketing Trends Survey).

We work with SME sized businesses as well as corporate clients - helping them to communicate there messages more creatively using on-line video.  On-line video not only spreads the word about your company, but helps to create a more professional first impression.  An effective training DVD, can SAVE your company thousands in trainer costs and participant travel expenses.  At the same time an effective training video will present a consistent, well thought-out and highly visual message.  There is no better communication tool if you need to make a repeat presentation for many people in more than one place.

How...

How do I choose a video production company?

Are they able to answer all your video related questions?
•  Can they complete what you need produced for a reasonable price?

•  Do they film on different formats, ie. HDV, HD and film?
•  Do you trust the contact person?
•  Can they meet your deadline?
•  Do they understand your business?
•  Can they show you a comprehensive client list?
•  Are they happy for you to contact their previous clients?

What...

What will Promotional Videos expect from us?

Any good production company will expect you to have considered these points.  At Promotional Videos, we will help you through each stage of the process.  We will expect clear lines of communication between the producer in charge of your production and the person delegated responsibility for liaising with us.  This is to ensure you receive the level of service you deserve, the production is complete on time and meets your requirement.

Who...

Who retains copyright of the video once produced?

There are basically two categories of custom video projects:

1.    An "Exclusive Production Contract" where (you) the client retains copyright over the film and can market or use it in any manner that he or she wishes. Under this type of agreement, Promotional Videos retains only the right to mention their involvement in the project in order to promote Promotional Videos video production business, whereas the customer retains all other rights over the film. This is the most expensive category, since the customer pays all expenses of the production. Secondly;

2.    A "Non-Exclusive Production Contract" where Promotional Videos retains the copyright over the film, or where copyright is shared, and have the option to market the film on-line or on DVD for profit. In this case, the customer pays all or a proportion towards the cost of the production. The production costs are lower than an Exclusive Production Contract, as we will earn a profit from sales of the film to the general public, or niche audience’s.

When...

When will our video be complete?

In terms of time scales, you should estimate anything between 1 – 4 months from the time of our first meeting to the date we present you with your completed film. Just like building a custom home, some projects can take shorter or longer.

The process time can be minimized, for example by limiting the number of people involved in the approval process, ensuring clear lines of communication are in place throughout each stage of the process and budgeting enough pre-production/ planning time to adequately prepare for the project.
