High definition (HD) television is a recording and broadcasting system
that gives a picture quality four to five times sharper than the
standard definition pictures you’re probably used to watching on your TV
set.
Many countries around the world such as the United States, Australia and
Japan already broadcast some or all of their programming in HD.
Increasingly, UK productions are being shot using HD cameras and the BBC
have publicly stated that wish to record 100% of their programming in HD
by the year 2010.
Many of our clients understand the benefit in “future proofing” their
recordings for broadcast when HD becomes a reality in the UK.
However it does depend on the outcome you want to achieve and on which
format your material will be shown. For example, with HD plasma and LCD
screens becoming more popular it is easy to see the advantages of having
higher quality video, particularly for display purposes. The increased
resolution of the image means the video looks clearer from further away
while up close you can see every detail.
We can deliver your material for both online viewing and DVD. We can
produce everything from a company-wide communication from the CEO, to
product launches, press announcements and training videos. We’ll work
with you to develop and shape your messages, advising you on the optimum
timing and most creative approach.
We film on a wide range of cameras including SD, HD & HDV (suitable for
online video). With prices becoming more competitive, hiring such
equipment is roughly on a par with a conventional SD kit. For unrivaled,
premier picture quality, we can also shoot your production on HDCAM. To

us to discuss your requirements.
